Everyone at Legacy treated my family as part of theirs. It was more like a lifetime experience and less like a business transaction
Homeowners that are searching for a rich finish to their custom kitchen often fall in love with the look and performance of granite countertops. As a natural metamorphic stone, it takes millions of years under the earth’s surface to turn into a unique combination of color, striations, and texture. No two granite countertops will ever be exactly alike, and you can expect yours to last as long as your cabinetry. When properly cared for, granite will resist scratches and discoloration and maintain that like-new sheen for years. Living with granite is like using a piece of art to prepare your family’s meals every day.
Available Edgings for Your Granite Countertops
Select an edge for your new granite counters that will complement the design and decor of your new kitchen or bath. Each edge is applied to your chosen slab when it is cut in our own fabrication shop. We offer the following edges on all granite countertop installations:
- Top and Bottom: Soften the appearance of your room when both the top and bottom of the slab are slightly rounded. It is a classic look that nicely matches contemporary cabinets that feature minimal carved detail and slim and straight hardware.
- Crescent: Give your counters a touch of motion with a rounded front edge. Avoid bumps and bruises when you nudge your counter with a hip. The simple shape works well with traditional cabinet designs by minimizing the detail on your counter surface.
- Ogee: One of our customer favorites, this edge takes a sharp leap off the counter and then turns into a fun slide with a reverse curve before dropping toward the floor. This look offers both elegance and interest to your updated kitchen.
- Chiseled: Are you looking for a rugged accent for your farm house kitchen or bath design? A chiseled edge creates a rough and textured edge for a more natural appearance that fits in with your iron lighting accents and rustic flooring.
- Mitered: Do you love the crisp shapes associated with a classic picture frame? Carry the look onto your granite counters with a mitered edge. See only the polished finish of your chosen slab as the edge seam is hidden by a 45-degree cut. A mitered edge gives the counter a thicker look.
