Contemporary quartz countertops offer the look of granite or marble in an equally durable man-made material. While there is variation in every slab, it offers a more uniform appearance between multiple slabs. It keeps its like-new look for years when properly maintained. Quartz is produced in a huge array of colors and patterns to complement any design or decor style.

Quartz is available in slabs approximately the same size as natural stone, about 5-foot x 10-foot in dimension. Its hardness is comparable to granite, which is softer than quartzite but harder than marble. Coloring and texture are similar to looks found on our natural stone products. Since it is made out of stone dust, aggregate, and resin, the seams on quartz may be less noticeable to sight and touch. Ultimately, if you fall in love with a slab of quartz, it will exceed expectations in appearance and performance.

• Almondine: Subtle variations in shades of gray, white, rust, and green bring a natural palette into your kitchen or bath. Flecks, veining, and inclusions lend each piece its own personality.
• Liberty Calacatta: Introduce the look of classic marble into your home. Its off-white base is accented by wandering streams of darker gray completed by a subtle elegant sheen.
• Riverbank: Run your hand down the surface that resembles the variety of stones found on a pebbled beach. Multiple flecks in dark gray, hints of blue, white, and black provide an anchor for your busy kitchen.
• White Sand: Complete your all-white project with a countertop that is just slightly darker than your cabinets and walls. Subtle variations in beige add depth without drawing attention to its uniform appearance.

The installation process for a custom quartz counter is nearly the same as for a natural stone version. Once you have selected the slab for your project and have your base cabinets installed, we visit your home to create the custom template. The counter is cut to size, edged, and polished in our own shop. Our crew comes to your home to put it in its final position and make any final adjustments.

Quartz is a non-porous stone that never needs to be sealed. We still recommend using our cleaner for regular clean-up to keep the surface looking its best. You will want to protect its surface by using cutting boards and trivets to prevent burns or scratches. You can expect it to last in your kitchen or bath for a lifetime.
